XLAB was set up in 2001. The company currently employs more than 100 people at its headquarters in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and subsidiaries in Great Britain and Switzerland. XLAB is one of the leading cloud computing companies in its region. Up until today partnership agreements with companies in over 30 countries have been signed. XLAB’s products empower hundreds of businesses with their software for secure cloud-based remote desktop control and live chat via the Internet – ISL Online, open-standards based 3D GIS with detailed geospatial data – Gaea+ along with SmartLocator, a mobile-based caller localisation service, custom 3D dental and radiology solutions with state of the art image visualization and analysis – MedicView and tool for remote interpretation of pre-transfusion tests – TeleTransfusion.

XLAB is the coordinator of MIKELANGELO project. As an SME with experience in Cloud and HPC technologies it will also act as the stakeholder in the exploitation and dissemination of the project’s outputs. Key technical tasks: application packaging, virtual appliances management, orchestration and generation, integrating the MIKELANGELO stack into OpenStack and use case implementation.
